Description
Since 1653 the life of the Barefoot Carmelite sisters, spent in absolute retreat inside the Monastery of Carmen Alto de San José, former house of Santa Mariana deJesus, locate inthe Historic Center of Quito.
On December 5, 2013, the oldest cloisters of the Monastery were opened for the first time as a museum. It is said that Santa Mariana de Jesús lived there. The museum houses two exceptional courtyards for corporate and cultural events that generate a relationship with the spiritual essence of the space.
