Description
Yaku ("water" in Quechua), is a place to reflect and marvel at the life-giving element of water. Located in the old traditional neighborhood of El Placer on the slopes of Mount Pichincha, Yaku is a space that fosters education and water conservation, as well as a strategic site to contemplate the dazzling landscapes of the city of Quito. Tradition has it that in this area Inca Atahualpa would bathe, also known as "Inca Houses of Pleasure", which is why the district kept the name. The Yaku Water
Museum is a special place to hold events, with ample space, a large explanade overlooking the city and an innovative gardening concept.
