Description
In the heart of Historic Quito, lies the Metropolitan Cultural Center, a building that held important and historic functions for the city since its creation in the sixteenth century.
There worked the first colonial State University, the first Public Library whit Eugenio Espejo as head librarian, the Royal Barracks of lima, the former Central University, the first Polytechnic University, the observatory, the Mint and since 2000 Quito’s Culture Center.
