Description
Within XVI century Plateresque and Mudejar architecture, Santo Domingo reveals a beautiful neo-Gothic altar, builded in the late nineteenth century by Italian Dominicans.
The Mudejar roof of the church exhibits paintings of martyrs of the Order of Santo Domingo. The roof of the nave is one of the convent’s major attractions. The XVIII-century baroque Chapel of the Rosary is a stronghold of religious architecture in Quito.
The complex also includes a fascinating religious museum.
